Where the money comes from

Hidden in many investment, pension and insurance policies are charges that can be claimed by an adviser. If you don't have an adviser for your policy, you're paying for something and getting nothing. Your money stays with the insurance company and cannot be cancelled or refunded. Cleversquirrel is authorised to reclaim these charges and donate them to charity, making the most of money you've already paid.

You don't need a policy to fundraise for your favourite charity

That's because your favourite charity receives a donation when people you introduce to Cleversquirrel have charges on their policies reclaimed. Half the money goes to their favourite charity. And half goes to yours. Introduce lots of people who may have lots of policies and you could raise a pile of cash for good causes.

We use Charities Trust to make the donations to charity

Charities Trust is a national donation management agency approved by the HM Revenue & Customs. It's a non-profit making organisation and a charity in its own right.

Anyone can join Cleversquirrel

To join, you need a valid email address. You'll provide some basic personal details and nominate your favourite charity. The minimum age is 13.

It's easy to find charities and your friends on Cleversquirrel

There's over 30,000 charities to choose from. Our simple search enables you to the find the right one to support. You can also find your friends and see who they're fundraising for.

Keep it private

We believe you should have complete control over your information and who can see it. People can only see your page once you've confirmed them as your friend. You use our privacy settings to control who can see what on Cleversquirrel.
